"I’ve learned to ask for what I need and to watch for what you want. Cause we are all very different on the team. That’s been the hardest, but the most fun."

"Nikko. Nickel."

WHAT COMPELLED YOU TO APPLY TO WORK AT RMC?

"At the time, I was working in Little Rock and I was new to UCA and I wanted to know more of Conway. I knew Scott and he let me know he was hiring. I was grateful for the opportunity."

DESCRIBE ROUND MOUNTAIN IN 3 WORDS.

"Pursuit of excellence’ meaning that we haven’t arrived but we are pursuing it in coffee, community, and in individual calling."

IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW, WHERE WOULD THAT BE?

"For rest, I would say in the sun. For work, I would say Lowes and Hobby Lobby. For friends, I would say Round Mtn. But, the first place that came to mind was Bentonville with my best friend."

WHAT IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST THINGS YOU’VE WITNESSED BEHIND THE BAR?

"The things I keep thinking of are Amanda learning to moonwalk and Sydney shooting a milk cap right between my eyes. It was a good day when we discovered that we could shoot milk caps like frisbees."

WHAT IS ONE CHARACTERISTIC OR HOBBY/HABIT OF YOURS THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT?

"Um, I don’t know how to word this… I can zone out for hours watching dance videos. Specifically B_dash and Ja Ja."

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU’VE ENJOYED SEEING RMC GROW IN IN YOUR TWO YEARS?

"In cohesion as a team and us in individual crafts. We’ve each learned how to balance work and life well, but we haven’t always done that. Luke plays volleyball, I have my coffee dates, Kyle works out, and Scott has his other business and family…"

HOW DID THE ART WALL GET STARTED? (THE COLLECTION?)

"When I was little, I wanted a dog so I made a PPT presentation for my mom for a dog to show her I was ready for the responsibility. Asking for the art wall wasn’t too different. I asked permission, then started on finding people who would be willing to display their work and rotate it regularly."

WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR FAVORITES ON THE WALL SO FAR?

"Yeah, Garrison’s. That’s an easy yes. Everyone loved it. The part to the whole was just as significant as the whole to the part. It was the most gallery-like display that we’ve had and I learned a lot about showcasing. I had gone to Crystal Bridges recently and they had a bunch of individual pieces on the wall that when they placed them together it went together perfectly and holistically. (because Crystal Bridges)…"

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THE ART WALL GO OR GROW INTO (DREAM AWAY!)? 5 YEARS FROM NOW?

"I would like to see it as a collaborative thing nationwide displaying undiscovered artists. I would love to see us connect better across the country with different shops to find more artists. I think that comes with consistency, quality control, and building sweet relationships."
